  The Cultural Challenge of The Black Conservative

An excellent article, hat tip to Booker Rising. It states three goals black conservatives should strive for.

1)Speaking more truthfully and comprehensively about the dynamics on the ground in the Black community
2) Engaging a wide range within the community of Black leadership and organizations in civil society, not for the purpose of recruiting them, but for the purpose of finding a path to unity that will lift the condition of all Black Americans and
3) Independently developing solutions and ideas that correct, refine, or build upon what White conservative intellectuals have authored and fathered.

I would add one modification to it and that is our solutions should focus on the lower middle class and poor part of our community. The traditionally liberal solutions of affirmative action and integration has worked very well for the upper black classes but has failed the lower black classes.

Post Office Hell

Lenin once dismissed the question of how socialism would work by pointing to the workings of the post office. Socialism, he said , means only to "To organize the whole economy on the lines of the postal service."

Sometimes its important to get back to basics and understand what is wrong with government run services at the most basic level.
