What Kerry needs to say to get back into the Game
It looks like I hit about 80% on what Bush needed to say to put Kerry out. He didn't hit back with the different job report that the government made which show 600k jobs in July which I think was a mistake. Nor did he mention life time savings account but everything else was there. So Kerry is out of the game. As I talk to my many democratic friend in the street they are dismayed at how much Kerry sucks. How could he say knowing what he know now he would vote for the war ?
Anyway this is what Kerry needs to say.
The war to remove Saddam Hussein was a just and noble cause, that is on the edge of failure because of Bush/Cheney's oil ties. France, Russia and the rest of the world knew and agreed that Saddam needed to be removed but the refused to do it unless they got their pay-off. Bush/Cheney has refused to give them the pay off which is allowing their oil companies to make money in Iraq. Its not a pretty picture, but international politics is all about money and power. Bush isn't a Nazi and the U.N. was not right in this case; like in Rwanda and in Kosovo the U.N. failed. We not only live in two Americas we live in two worlds. In one world peace is the rule, that world includes American and Europe and emerging peaceful countries like India, but there is another world were rulers regularly kill and murder their subjects at will. There is the rule of law and there is the rule of outlaws. America stands for the rule of law but as America learned in its early years that you need courage and strength to deal with outlaws. But the west wasn't won by gunslingers alone, it took farmers, shop owners and blacksmiths too. We are a great gun slinger but we need the help of others to tame this world of outlaws. I will explain to the leaders of the world our goals and our needs so they can help themselves while helping us increase the peace.
Currently our military is doing the heavy lifting of trying to rebuild two nations. We need help to succeed. An extra 100,000 peace keepers in both Afghanistan and Iraq would help prevent then from falling back into the world of outlaws. Pakistan, India, are just two of our allies that have well trained peace keeping forces but we haven't engaged them. We don't need MX missiles and nuclear submarines to stop these outlaws and to rebuild their societies, that is why I have always voted against wasteful weapon systems. But even this year the Bush administration has snuck another nuclear submarine in the money they say was to fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I don't doubt the Bush administration's desire to bring democracy to the middle east, their desire is right and good, but they are incompetent. They can't even get their own state department and defense department to work together no wonder they can't get other nations to work with us. My team will be working together from day 1. We will be talking to every country in the world and ask them one simple question, what will you contribute to making a better world. And I don't mean just Iraq and Afghanistan, there is genocide happening today in the Sudan. But most of the world doesn't understand our just and noble goals, because of the incompetent Bush administration we can't send in the 5,000 troops needed to end this genocide because the world don't trust us.
There are other issues that concern American today besides the war on terrorism where the Bush administration has shown its incompetence. Their record on the environment is unspeakable, those who care about the environment already know where to vote on Nov 2nd. From their economic policies we get an attempt to define hamburger flipping as a manufacturing job, their level of incompetence is only matched by their arrogance. And for the fiscal conservative out there Bush had not vetoed a single spending bill. This administration's Borrow and Spend behavior is making Real Republicans long for the Tax and Spend days they tried to end. And of course their plan to fight poverty is marriage counseling, from their behavior it looks to me like we lost the war on drugs as well as losing the peace in Afghanistan and Iraq.
If you want an President who knows how to veto wasteful spending vote for me on Nov 2, if you want a President who know how to grow the economy while protecting the environment vote for me on Nov 2. If you want serious public servant who works for you and not his past and future oil company employers vote for Kerry/Edwards on Nov 2.
